Personal Statement
I have a passion for people and believe that we all need encouragement and accountability to live our best lives. I love my job and consider it a privilege to share with my clients’ in their journey toward hope, healing, and change. I embrace the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, the same way, with the same people and expecting different results. There are solutions for life and that’s where I encourage clients to focus.
I come from a family where ministry is a way of life. My parents worked for Mission Aviation Fellowship and several family members are Senior Pastors of community
churches. My sister, Melissa Spoelstra is a nationally known speaker, Parent Life author and the author of Jeremiah: Daring to Hope, Joseph: The Journey to Forgiveness and soon to be published study on 1 Corinthians. My husband Drew holds a Ministry and Leadership degree from Dallas Christian College and is consultant for the Navigant Consulting, a healthcare management firm. We have two children whom we are committed to training in a way that they won’t depart by providing them with both structure and nurture.
I work hard at striving to live a life based on principles and priorities. A lifetime member of Weight Watchers and active church leader, I am devoted to continued life growth as a person and professional. I also strive to practice daily contentment and gratitude for the life I live. I love discipleship and have been active in both participating in and leading local church bible studies as well as BSF. I also count it a privilege to have been mentored both personally and afar from some great leaders such as Reggie McNeal, Louie Giglio, and John Townsend and Henry Cloud. I am currently continuing to develop leadership skills and home structure working on programs from Michael Hyatt and Crystal Paine. I would probably confess to being a conference junkie and love engaging in direct learning at professional conferences as well as spiritual leadership development weekends such as SheSpeaks, Declare, and Catalyst.
