Grief
Loss of a loved one, life dream, or relationship can be devastating. Our well trained staff consider it a privilege to sit with individuals and families as grace, truth, and time allow life to continue and hope to be restored. We also do extensive training in traumatic grief and the complications sudden death holds. Our bookstore has great resources for both adults and children on books that can provide encouragement along the journey and we count it a privilege to walk beside grieving people as they express the pain of their loss in a healing process where time often seems to stand still.
Our Clinical Director Michelle Nietert, LPC is certified as a Trauma and Loss Specialist in Children and bring decades of experience and resources to the staff regarding the grief process starting with the Kubler Ross Model of the Stages of Grief and expanding beyond to the understanding of the dynamics that loss brings to a person's world. In a culture where we are expected you move on after 3 days, your counselor sit with you providing hope as you face the challenges of anniversaries, memories, and life transitions facing the loss of loved one brings.
