Healthcare and Counseling
Many of our counselors choose to participate in network with health insurance companies. All of us will work with you to help you file on your out of network benefits. While many are attracted to the cost effectiveness of using insurance for counseling, there are some disadvantages. Two of the greatest are that a mental health diagnosis will be required and it must accurately reflect treatment and privacy. While we at CCA are committed to adhering to the best HIPAA practices, after we release your information, that information now becomes part of you medical records much of which is now electronic.
Many of our counselors who don't accept insurance will work with you to obtain a fee close to your copay. You may wish to contact you insurance provider and inquire about mental health benefits before selecting a counselor. Couples counseling is rarely covered under mental health insurance.
