Treatment Approaches
Taylor provides a supportive, empathetic, and safe space for clients to explore challenging emotions and experiences. Depending on your specific story, Taylor will create a supportive care plan that empowers clients with the tools they need to move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to capable and hopeful. The goal is for you to leave the room with renewed strength, healing from harmful patterns, and greater confidence to face life's inevitable challenges.

She focuses on perinatal and postpartum struggles, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity, life transitions, family conflict, and relationship challenges. She is especially passionate about helping new moms navigate pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood as they adjust to new challenges and emotions. Equipped with training from Postpartum Support International and lived experience, she is honored to walk alongside new parents during an exciting and challenging season.

She works with each client to identify the most effective strategies, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Mindfulness, and, for those interested, faith-based or expressive arts exercises.

Education and Training
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications with minors in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Truman State University. She is completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association.

Background and Experience
Before entering the counseling field, Taylor worked in hiring and recruiting for eight years and had the privilege of helping individuals discover their giftings and talents and grow in their unique roles. After the birth of her second child, she left the workforce to stay home with her kids full-time. After personally experiencing healing through counseling while walking through challenging postpartum seasons and difficult family dynamics, she decided to pursue counseling as a second career. Her desire is to walk alongside others and allow her experience and story to guide the hurting towards hope and healing.

Personal Statement

Each individual should experience empathy, kindness, and intentionality, and I am honored to provide a safe space for others to be seen and heard. I have witnessed the powerful healing that can come from therapy. It is a gift to offer hope and understanding to those who feel stuck, lost, or helpless.

I have been married for eleven years and have three young kids. When I’m not wrangling kids, I love to read, test new recipes, drink good coffee, try out creative classes on Groupon, and catch up on reality TV.

Call Taylor at 214-307-2270 to schedule an appointment or discuss counseling concerns.
She is currently accepting new clients (ages 10+) and has evening availability on Mondays and Thursdays and daytime availability on Wednesdays, both in-person and online.
