Treatment Approaches
Sarah has a passion for working with children ages 3 and older, adolescents, and young adults. Sarah believes in a non-judgmental and accepting approach to therapy in order to build a strong, therapeutic relationship with the client. Her approach integrates Adlerian, Person Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapies. Sarah's main interest and specialty is Play Therapy. Children communicate through play and engaging them in unstructured and non-directive play allows them to work through trauma and life changes. Sarah also enjoys working with adolescents in areas like depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. She has experience in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral problems in children and adolescents, social skills development, major life transitions, relationship difficulties and boundaries, and parent consultations.

There she worked closely with incoming students and their family members as member of the Parent Ambassadors program. Following graduation, she moved back to her native Texas to attend Dallas Baptist University where she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling. Sarah has received training in Trauma Informed Care, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, and Anger Management.
