Treatment Approaches

Natalie has a strong passion for working with children, specifically in a play setting, but also has a passion for pre-and post-partum families or families going through transitions and overall difficult times. Natalie hopes to help children and families though these hard times and be a supportive individual in a way that they need. Natalie also hopes to help individuals, families, and couples reach any goals and aspirations they hope for themselves. Natalie works with children (3+) and families, using techniques such as attachment theory, solution-focused therapy, and emotion-focused therapy for some clients, but will follow the client's lead and will use approaches that work best for the individual.

Education and Training

Natalie is currently pursuing her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University online and should graduate at the end of 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in Rehabilitation Services, which is a degree that covers the very basic counseling concepts, as well as developmental disabilities, and career counseling. Natalie is certified as a Level 1 Gottman couples therapist, and working towards finishing her Level 2. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association.

Background and Experience

Natalie has worked since the age of 13 with children as a dance teacher. As a dance teacher, she has helped children and families through some difficult times through expression of dance. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Natalie worked in Early Childhood intervention/development. There, she helped families and children though developmental milestones, helping families cope with difficulties that arise when changes occur, especially when the child has been diagnosed with a developmental delay. As a previous military spouse, Natalie is also open to working with the military and their families though difficult transitions and deployments.

Natalie currently lives with her husband and young daughter, as well as two beagle mixes. She loves dancing, baking, and binge-watching movies in her spare time.

Personal Statement

Counseling has been a passion for me for so long, and knowing I am now starting this journey is exciting! I am hoping that I can create a safe space for not only the child, but their family as well. As a counseling student, I hope that through time we can grow together and really see progress in goals and aspirations. This is a time for your child and family members to tell their story, and I am here to listen in a safe and encouraging environment. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing family.
