Counseling Approach
Since each individual is unique, there isn't a "one size fits all" approach to counseling. Theoretically, I lean towards an Integrative Approach by utilizing Adlerian, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. I LOVE incorporating humor, art, music, games, and various activities in my sessions - not just for children & teens, but for adults, too!
My current specializations are trauma & grief, eating disorders, teen pregnancy & parenting, teen dating & violence, post abortion counseling, postpartum depression & anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, crisis, self-harm, and spiritual issues. I am a Certified Trauma Model Counselor (Collin Ross Trauma Institute) and currently working towards becoming a Certified Trauma Therapist (Trauma Care Institute).
I counsel children (kindergarten and up), teens, individuals (young adults, female adults, LGBTQ), and premarital couples. In addition to my specializations listed above, I have experience in counseling individuals dealing with anger, transitions, marital problems, divorce (for parents and for the children), body-focused repetitive behaviors, OCD, relational issues, bipolar, ADHD, parenting, self-esteem, and behavioral issues. In addition to counseling, I also supervise Master's level counseling students.

About Me
Personal Statement
I believe we live in a fallen world. We all struggle with hurt and pain others inflict and we inflict ourselves. Even though we can’t control the world around us, we can control how we respond. If dealt with in a healthy way, our struggles can shape us to be a better person. My Christian worldview plays an integral part in my life personally, professionally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Christian Counseling is available upon request.

About Me
- My husband, Kevin and I are both Dallas Seminary graduates and we share the intense desire to serve the church body through discipleship. My husband is also pursuing his PhD through DTS. We have 3 wonderful & crazy kids ages 16, 7, and 5. And, yes, you read those ages right. We are passionate supporters of Compassion International and International Justice Mission. We are also VERY passionate USC Football Fans (Fight On, Trojans!). When not counseling, hanging out with the family, or watching USC football, I enjoy reading, painting, playing board games, drinking insane amounts of coffee, & having a concert/dance party in my car.
