Personal Statement
I believe every person can grow and learn new strategies to live purposeful lives that make a difference in this world. My desire is to come alongside clients as they identify their strengths and resources, explore problems, and create solutions that will positively affect their lives. I love incorporating art, play and nature into therapy and hope that clients leave sessions feeling energized and equipped for their next steps.
I am the mother of two daughters- ages six and two. I’m married to an amazing high school teacher and have a major soft spot for educators and those in the helping professions. I fill other roles as a daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague. Relationships can be wonderful and life giving, but they take investment in our own mental wellness to be strong. I am eager to come alongside you as you work toward health and well-being. My faith informs the way I live my life while bringing me joy and peace. As we are all physical, social, and spiritual beings, I believe faith and spirituality is a beneficial aspect to explore in sessions if clients are interested.
I love camping with my family, watching TV shows on the couch after putting the kids to sleep, and reading- particularly history, memoirs, and fiction. Having friends over to cook out and let the kids run around is one of my favorite things to do (at a safe, social distance for now!).
