Treatment Approaches
Cody's focus is serving adolescents, young adults, and couples with relational issues, anxiety, stress, depression, substance abuse, emotional regulation, and life transitions. While conducting therapy, he utilizes an eclectic approach. Employing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused pastoral counseling, emotional focused therapy (EFT), and the Gottman method for couples. He believes some combination of these approaches can best serve clients depending on the life issues they are facing.

Cody's goal with clients is to meet them where they are at. He never wants to impart his own personal values or beliefs on the client. He desires to hear their struggle and help them discover solutions that they feel can help them get past their hurdles.

Personal Statement
I believe properly managed relationships can be one of the most revitalizing and joy-bringing aspects of life that God has gifted us.  Relationships can teach us about others which can build empathy and insight, but they also teach us about ourselves.  I am a second-generation therapist.  As a child my mother regularly came home from working with clients, dictating how she was able to assist in repairing marriages, healing traumas, and empowering individuals through self-insight.  I have seen firsthand what relationships in a therapeutic setting can do to transform lives for the better, and I know your life can be bettered in the process.

About Me
The most important thing to Cody is his Christian faith; it dictates how he treats others and where his values lay.  As for his family, he has had the pleasure of being married to his beautiful wife since 2023.  Cody has a dog and looks forward to adding kids to the family in the near future.  In his free time he enjoys working out, walking his dog, and working on home renovations.
