Treatment Approaches
Catherine enjoys working with teens, adults, and couples through the transitions and trials life brings while approaching it from a holistic perspective. She has experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment, grief, academics and motivation, spiritual issues, family issues, and relationship/ marital issues. She sees value in looking at what’s presently going on and identifying practical ways to heal and grow. She believes real change happens when people are equipped with the right tools that help them assess their inner self and therefore respond to life situations better.

In regards to couples counseling, Catherine primary focuses on the Gottman Institute research principals. These principals include identifying individual and couple goals in areas of Conflict Resolution, Communication Skills, Increasing Positivity, and other aspects of the relationship. A focus on these goals will help create a specific treatment program that is more effective and sustainable. Solution-focused, Emotionally-focused, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy is also integrated in sessions.

Being emotionally healthy is an extremely important aspect in order to thrive in and lead a fulfilling life. Catherine sees value in looking at what’s presently going on and identifying practical ways to heal and grow from what life brings. She believes real change happens when people are equipped with the right tools that help them assess their inner self and therefore respond to life situations better.

When requested, she is happy to integrate Christian counseling to her approaches.

Personal Statement
I believe that our trials and personal experiences form our viewpoint in life. God uses each situation, the good, the bad, the ugly, to shape who we are.  Our daily decisions add up to the culmination of our life. When times are rough and making life decisions can be hard or intimidating I believe having the support of other individuals can help propel us to a better life. I desire to help people navigate through various season of life, empowering them along the way.
