Treatment Approaches
Angela Sanchez specializes in working with individuals, families, and couples with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, parenting, child and adolescent behavior problems, and individuals of all ages with special needs. She focuses her clinical expertise by helping clients gain mental health tools that promote purpose and meaning in life. She enjoys working with children (3+), and teenagers (13+). Angela utilizes various counseling approaches based on each clients needs and goals, including Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Play Therapy.
When requested, she is happy to integrate Christian counseling to her approaches.

Background and Experience
Angela is professionally experienced in working with children with autism by utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) through reinforcements and prompting to teach children adaptive behaviors in specific developmental areas such as language, socialization, play, self-help, motor skills, and oral motor skills. She is killed in Crisis Intervention, Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, Oral Motor, and Behavior Analysis. She is currently using her skills as a behavioral health assistant for the Denton State Supported Living Center to help implement treatment plans for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Education and Training
Angela received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science Pre-PT at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She is currently attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where she will be receiving her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My desire is for every client to feel safe and free of judgment. I welcome everyone from all backgrounds and beliefs. Life can sometimes be traumatic. My mission is to help you implement healthier behaviors and provide hope and healing towards a happier lifestyle.
