I believe every person can grow and learn new strategies to live purposeful lives that contribute to their own well-being and that of their family and community. My desire is to come alongside individuals and families as they identify their strengths and resources, explore problems, and create solutions that will positively affect their lives. I love that counseling operates from a wellness perspective and seeks to address holistically all aspects of a balanced life!
I am the mother of two children under six, married to an amazing high school teacher, and fulfill roles as a daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, friend, student, and colleague. Relationships can be wonderful and life giving, but they take work- some more than others! I am eager to come alongside you as you work toward health and well-being in your relationships, roles, and pursuits. My Christian faith informs my life while bringing me joy and peace. As we are all physical, social, and spiritual beings, I believe faith and spirituality to be a beneficial aspect to explore in sessions if clients are interested and I deeply enjoy discussing this area of life.
I love exploring new neighborhoods and traveling, watching TV shows on the couch with my husband after putting the kids to sleep, and reading- particularly history, science, and fiction. Making time to hang out with friends and family is also a major priority for me.
